Field & Tides, located in Houston’s historic Heights neighborhood features an open canvas menu that reflects Executive Chef Travis Lenig’s culinary experiences. Chef Lenig’s roots stem from his love for many different types of cuisine such as Southern, Italian, French and Asian. “Field” is represented by locally sourced vegetables, pork, poultry, beef and game, while “Tides” is seafood that is locally sourced as well, with an emphasis on the Gulf. The upscale casual restaurant is open for lunch and dinner daily with brunch served on Saturday and Sunday.

Travis Lenig

Executive Chef & General Partner

Chef Travis Lenig grew up in Houston and has spent the majority of his 22 years in the industry working in upscale fine dining restaurants.  Just like many chefs that dream of opening their own restaurant someday, Chef Lenig was no exception.  In October of 2016, he departed from Liberty Kitchen to follow his dream, and in February of 2017, he opened Field & Tides.  Chef Lenig has enjoyed bringing his vast culinary experience to The Heights community, serving both familiar faces and new patrons alike.

Jeff Conger

General Manager

A native Houstonian, and hospitality industry veteran, Jeff Conger has worked for over 30 years in management with everyone from mom and pops to big corporate operations.  His experience in the industry spans across other metropolitan cities such as Chicago, Las Vegas, Washington D.C. and Miami.  Known for saying, “I’m happiest when helping”, Jeff likes to keep it simple and stay focused on taking care of his patrons.  Working with Chef Lenig and the rest of the team at Field & Tides has been a great fit since June of 2019.
